Graduate Workshop
La Verne students are invited to attend the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at UC San Diego. The forum will include workshops open to undergraduate and master’s students. More than 150 programs will be represented and tips for the GRE will be available. Empowering Workshop
Women are invited to “Unmask Your Identity,” a workshop held every Monday beginning in October from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Counseling and Psychological Services office. The workshop is designed for women who are interested in exploring their personal growth and empowering themselves through a journey of self-understanding.
One Book, One University
Sonia Nazario, author of “Enrique’s Journey,” will speak at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Oct 2 in Morgan Auditorium as part of the One Book, One University program. Freshmen read the same book at the beginning of the school year to promote and discuss diverse perspectives.
Washington Internships
An information session for students who are interested in studying and interning at the Washington Center will be held at noon Friday in the Campus Center Ballroom. Internships are available for all majors in government offices, international businesses and foreign embassies.
